2012
Two thousand twelve, it is now here, oh could this be that awesome year,
When Christ in all His glory and worth, returns for those of His on earth,
Who await with baited breath their Lord, to finally be forevermore,
At one with Him, in heaven reside, to live forever, with Christ abide.
Oh we have waited for so long, with patience and with faith that’s strong,
For that great day, to gaze into, the eyes of Him Who’s made us new,
For so in sin we all once were, but by God’s Spirit He has transferred,
On Christ the sins that once were ours, and now we’re His bright shining stars.
His glory can be seen through us, all those who’ve put their faith and trust,
In Jesus, the Great Morning Star, Whose loved and cherished Bride we are,
In whom the Bible clearly tells, in us, oh yes, His presence dwells,
And one day we’ll behold the face, of He, Who’s given us such grace.
For soon will come our wedding day, when we’ll be dressed in glorious array,
When we will walk down heaven’s isle, take Jesus hand and greet His smile,
When we will then unite and be, rewarded immortality,
When we will fully be made one, with God’s most perfect Holy Son.
And oh those wedding bells shall ring, and all the heavenly hosts will sing,
For all will then rejoice in song, on that great day for which we’ve longed,
When words come true, those that of old, that long ago, have been foretold,
Of that triumphant day to come, when we’ll be married to God’s Son.
The wedding feast is being prepared, the table’s spread, with utmost care,
And all is ready, and all’s in place, for that great day, all by God’s grace,
So let the celebration begin, even now, before, in our hearts, within,
For we are Christ’s, His chosen Bride, Whom He longs for, to be by His side.
“For the Lord, Himself, shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with The Lord.”
I Thessalonians 4:16,17

Your Spirit fill me Lord, with poems from above,
Sonnets that speak forth to all, of You and of Your
love,
With words of comfort and of truth, may my pen flow
free,
That through these words, some will find, their refuge
Lord, in Thee.
With beams of light,
pierce through the night, bring joy unto the sad,
Lifting hearts and drying tears, the sorrowful make
glad,
To those still lost, good tidings
bring, that they may know You, Lord,
In spite of all their many sins,
their lives can be restored.
For I was once just like
them Lord, deceived, not knowing You,
Until the day I heard Your call, I was oh so blue,
The pains in life had brought me to, a place filled with
despair,
I
did not know, back in those days, there is a Lord Who
cares.
I've
now a crown of beauty, I'm glad and mourn no more,
I've praise instead of heaviness, my past, You've
closed the door,
All things are new, I'm born again, I've now a
destiny,
Predestined, called, anointed, and now glorified in
Thee.
Who'd
think that once, so long ago, and oh so far away,
A wretched sinner, that was lost, would find such peace
one day,
Then put to rhyme for all to see, the glorious work that's
done,
When just one sinner turns to God, and received His only
Son.

There is a word that we call
love, it's lived out day to day,
It's in our actions, in our thoughts, in all we do
and say,
And if our love is only for, the love to us
returned,
Is this but not a selfish love, and only self
concerned?
This is not of the love of God,
no sacrifice it bares,
Nor does this love have any depth, of mercy or of
care,
It can't reach out to others needs, the hurting it
can't see,
It only thinks of its own wants, and serves the love
of me.
So how much of this word called
love, can you and I display?
It all depends on if we'll let, Christ in us have
His way,
This means that we must die within, so we will then
impart,
The love and peace of God supreme, as Jesus rules
our hearts.
No toil it takes when love it
flows, God's love in you and me,
To love the lost, to love His own, and help to set
men free,
No greater joy have we to know, then God, He loves
us so,
That in return, we'll do His will, as in the world
we go.
There'll
be
no mountain that's too tall, no river that's too
wide,
There'll be no ocean that's too deep, when in
Him we abide,
For we can love those in the world, all those
who love us less,
If we will only trust in Him, and in His love
we rest.
"Faith, hope and
love...the greatest of these is love."
I
Corinthians 13:13
"And walk in
love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath
given Himself
for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a
sweet smelling savour."

May I Be Yours Today
May
I be Yours today, I lift my voice and pray,
In thought and deed, in all I say,
Whatever You may bring my way,
May I be Yours today.
Because
the life You gave, I am a sinner, saved,
And for that now, my Lord I give,
To You, my Lord, my life to live,
May I be Yours today.
For
nothing on this earth, compares to what You're
worth,
Without You Lord, my all, my King,
There is no song, I'd want to sing,
May I be Yours today.
The
sun, though it may rise, behold the moon my eyes,
But still the day is gone and lost,
Whenever I don't count the cost,
May I be Yours today.
For
dry becomes the land, thorns, thistles they would
stand,
To try and choke the life of Thee,
The life of You, my Lord, in me,
May I be Yours today.
So
rain upon me Lord, the Holy Spirit pour,
Lord come, refresh my thirsty soul,
Lord come, Your Spirit now control,
May I be Yours today.
With
me do what You choose, what is there I can lose,
In You I have all lovely things,
Within the life, Lord, that You bring,
May I be Yours today.
To
You does my heart soar, now and forevermore,
You are The Truth, The Life, The Way,
Within Your hands, my life I lay,
May I be Yours today.
"But now that you have been set free from
sin and have become slaves to God,
the benefit you reap leads to
holiness, and the result is Eternal Life."

When You Trust in
Me
Seek the Lord when you are lost,
and He will show The Way,
Ask the Lord when you're in doubt, on Him
your burdens lay,
And if you knock, He will hear, the door
He'll open wide,
All of this and more He'll do, if in Him
you abide.
Praise Him through the darkest
night, and He will shine His light,
Rejoice though you are weeping, your tears
away He'll wipe,
Sing to Him a song of praise, that rings
from deep within,
For there is always hope and peace, when
you trust in Him.
So look
not at life's
problems, but gaze
into His face,
Knowing He allows
all things, and with
His loving grace,
He'll move the
tallest mountains, and
cast them in the sea,
He says to you, "My
peace I give, when you
trust in Me."
"Blessed
are all they that put their trust in Him."
Psalm 2:12
"He is a
shield unto them that put their trust in
Him."
Proverbs 30:5
"He that

Shall abide under the shadow of the

"I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and
my fortress, in Him will I trust."
Psalm 91:1,2
They Received Him Not
Walking in their midst, came Jesus
Christ their Savior,
But...they...received...Him...not.
Bringng the Good News, to men of God's good
favor,
But...they...received...Him...not.
He proclaimed as King, and peace to all could
bring,
He Who healed the sick, the future could
predict,
Upon the water walked, and Words of God He
taught,
But...they...received...Him...not.
Then the fish and loaves, that He fed
men in droves,
But...they...received...Him...not.
Words of truth He spoke, loving words to bring
men hope,
But...they...received...Him...not.
They mocked and criticized, of Him spoke only
lies,
They truly did despise, He Who could heal blind
eyes,
Though men once dead He raised, though worthy of
all praise,
But...they...received...Him...not.
Then upon the Cross, hung Jesus Christ
their Savior,
But...they...received...Him...not.
In His suffering, He still spoke words of favor,
But...they...received...Him...not.
He, to His Father cried, "It's finished!", then
He died,
And with His Blood He bought, those who believed
Him not,
For Christ He bled for all, redeemed them from
the fall,
All...that...received...Him...not.
"Though
seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they
do not hear or understand."

shall look on Him, Whom they pierced."

Rock of Offense
It says in Romans
chapter nine, and in verse thirty-three,
That Jesus, You’re a
stumblingstone, to those who don’t know Thee,
But most that do
believe in You, and praise Your Holy Name,
To them all that You
represent, they never are ashamed.
But those that know
you not oh Lord, Your words they do offend,
To them they are
insulting, disrespectful unto men,
Repulsive and
revolting, and abhorrent they are, too,
To those not saved,
an outrage are, the spoken words of You.
For men are so
resentful, when confronted with their sin,
It humiliates and
violates, all their pride within,
How dare they be
admonished, and warned of all to come,
When they heed not
the truths of God, through You, His Only Son.
But sadly it’s not
only men, of earth who take offense,
For many Christians
also do, to me this makes no sense,
I think it’s because
they don’t want to sacrifice their will,
They only care that
they’ve been saved, that Your Blood paid their bill.
They live for mainly
just themselves, so worldly are they,
They think there’s
nothing more to do, You did it all that day,
They’re saved by
grace, that’s all that counts, there’s no price then to pay,
They need not bear a
cross themselves, or die in any way.
But Lord, You said,
take up your cross, and come and follow Me,
The world it hated Me
therefore, it also will hate thee,
Oh you’ll be
persecuted for, My Words that you now speak,
But blessed are the
peacemakers, and blest are those who seek.
So share all that
I’ve given you, go forth and be My Light,
Piercing through the
darkness with My words to give men sight,
Exposing all the lies
of men, that you may play a part,
Revealing all the
wickedness, that lies within man’s heart.
“Behold I
lay in
and
whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.”

If I’ve Called You
If I’ve called you, then you must be, more
faithful, don’t you see,
For I Am The Just One Who has, set you a
sinner free,
‘Tis only by the Blood I shed, that you have
been released,
Out from the grave of death into, a life with
joy and peace.
If I’ve called you, then how is it, in you I
still see pride,
Such arrogance and haughtiness, within you
deep inside,
What have you done, within your life, that
calls for you to be,
Self righteous in your ways without, the
righteousness of Me.
If I’ve called you, you even can’t, take
credit for your faith,
For even that I’ve given you, for I The Lord
now saith,
‘Twas by My Spirit upon you, that filled you
with belief,
To lift you from your sea of sin, so you would
have relief.
If I’ve called you, then you must leave, all
worldly ways behind,
No longer can you wallow in, the muck, the
mire and grime,
Therefore you must resist and run, each moment
and each hour,
For if you don’t, you won’t escape their
influence and power.
If I’ve called you, it is because, for you I
have a Plan,
Therefore you have no earthly right, to place
on Me demands,
Instead you’re called to trust My ways,
whatever they may be,
For I’ll work all things for your good, if
you’ll submit, you’ll see.
If I’ve called you, then listen up, and harken
to My voice,
And read my Word, thus it obey, make this a
daily choice,
And if you sow good seeds by watching, what
you do and say,
Then you will reap more blessings, that I want
for you each day.
If I’ve called you, what must you do, now with
the life you live?
You must now yield it unto Me, and willingly
thus give,
For just as I so freely gave, My life, My all
for you,
I have the right commanding you, to only Me be
true.
“Tis
I, Who does the calling, ’tis My Grace that befalls, ‘tis My
Love that was given, when Jesus bore it all,
For
He Himself, took on the sins for each and every man, to make
salvation possible, which is My Glorious Plan”.

A
Glorious Season
God’s given us seasons, for many
reasons, I’d like to share a few,
So as I ponder, come now and saunter,
down a wonderful avenue.
Let’s first start with the early
spring, that gives new life, from death it brings,
The sun so bright, the melting snow,
that waters bulbs and helps them grow,
The tulips and the daffodils, the
hyacinths, with all their frills,
The blooming buds, the brand new
leaves, as all the earth, no more it grieves.
How lovely God He speaks through
spring, reminding us of hope He brings,
When all mankind will rise one day,
when there will no more be decay,
Unlike the grave that holds the dead,
resurrection will bring life instead,
For God He will restore all things,
the great and small, yes, everything.
Let’s now
stroll down the path that’s next, some say they like this one
the best,
But all the seasons God has set,
they’re there so we will not forget,
That as we see the seasons change,
we’ll also see that God’s arranged,
A plan that is so beautiful, to all
mankind so suitable,
So join me now, it’s summertime, and
feel its warmth, and drink its wine,
The fruits, the joys, the summer
swims, the sunsets as the skies grow dim,
We frolic, we rejoice, and play, but
they won’t last, these summer days,
For just around the August bend, the
autumn comes, that soon God sends.
The cooler nights, then leaves,
they’ll fall, the frost will come, and change it all,
No more the lush green grass we’ll
see, instead a change on trees there’ll be,
The maples, oaks, and sycamores, will
then explode with color galore,
A blessed time to view the land, as
God He paints it with His hand.
And then the winter storms roll in,
the curse of death, for just like sin,
Then life it withers and it dies, and
from the earth, we hear its cries,
Such frigid cold, that no one dare,
think flowers again they would appear,
But they are just asleep and still,
all winter long, for that’s God will.
Then spring again, it’s here at last,
to chase away all death that’s passed,
As life once more is given chance,
the earth it then begins to dance,
And as I use these metaphors, they
speak to what we’re waiting for,
The day when all the dead will rise,
when all mankind will come alive.
The resurrection of Christ brought,
new life to all, for His blood bought,
The world that had once died through
sin, it soon will be restored by Him,
Then no more tears, and no more
sorrows, just peace and joy for all tomorrows,
For sin and death will rule no more,
all praise to God, and to our Lord.
Yes, all creation groans within, when
there will one day be no sin,
When Christ on earth He takes His
Throne, and hearts of men He makes His home,
His Kingdom it is soon to come, when He’ll outshine the
brightest sun,
A glorious season it will be, to last for all eternity.
“For as in Adam all
die, so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
I Corinthians 15:22
“And He shall send
Jesus Christ, which before you was preached unto you: Whom
the heaven must receive until the
times
of
restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the
mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.”
Acts 3:20.21

The Fulfillment
‘Tis soon, the day is
drawing nigh, the time will come at last,
When words of old
will be fulfilled, from prophets in the past,
Not some, but all
that’s been foretold, it will come true one day,
For every prophecy of
God, will have its final say.
Almighty God, He has
spoken, and once is all it takes,
And everything that’s
been predicted, He will not forsake,
For He is true and
faithful and what’s in His Holy
Writ,
Will come about, all
in His time, for He will see to it.
As we look back to
ancient times, when He gave words to men,
From Genesis to
Malachi, the prophets He did send,
And most the time
they knew not of, the words of which they spoke,
But words of The Old
Testament, they did obey and wrote.
As they looked
forward they could see, a Savior soon would come,
They spoke of Him,
they wrote of Him, they pointed to God’s Son,
Of which they would
not, in their time, would their eyes ever see,
But still, by faith,
they spoke God’s Words, and walked obediently.
And then God sent The
Living Word, Who on the Cross did lay,
Three hundred
prophecies, they were, fulfilled that very day,
And though He died,
He rose to life, and with that did fulfill,
The only Way for all
to come, to know God’s perfect Will.
But long before
Christ came it was foretold He’d come to earth,
And before His
incarnation, an angel proclaimed His birth,
Way before the world
rejected Him, God did foretell that, too,
Men also prophesied
His death, of which God He foreknew.
Before they spat upon
His face, before He who bore the stripes,
Before the nails went
in His hands, before they pounded spikes,
Before the sword it
pierced the One, Who wore a thorny crown,
Before they cast lots
for His robe, all this was written down.
Before He rose up
from the grave, from which the stone was rolled,
Before death it no
more could rule, or on Christ have its hold,
Before His great
ascension up, when He was glorified,
The men of old, had
penned all this, that they had prophesied.
And so we see from
Genesis and up through Revelation,
How God foretold
through men of old, His glorious proclamation,
Announcing that His
Son is The Fulfillment that has come,
Who will fulfill His
promises, yes, each and every one.
“And He made known to us the
mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which
He purposed in Christ, to be put
into effect when the times will have reached their
fulfillment-
To bring all things in heaven and
on earth together under one Head, even Christ.”
Romans 1:9-10
Need We Ask
Why?
So perfect Father are Your
ways, the rain that falls, the sunny days,
The stormy clouds, the clear
blue skies, therefore do I need to ask why,
Why does the wind so beat at
times, against this heart so frail of mine?
Or why through valleys must
I go, from mountain peaks to far below?
Or
why the mounting waves can be, at times so over
whelming me?
Or
why the fires that You employ, are they not meant but
to destroy?
To
burn up all the dross of sin, and therefore purge me
more within?
So
that my trials today, tomorrow, will not be wasted,
not one sorrow.
But yet so often we still
cry, with aching hearts demanding, “Why?”
As we tend more to focus on,
external things You’ve placed upon,
All those whom You are
wanting to, be shaped more to resemble You,
So that You may be
glorified, and it won’t be vain that Christ died.
For all who verily are
Thine, whose faith is truly genuine,
Will surely each test far
outshine, as they stand firm and strong each time,
Then You and Your Light most
of all, will shine forth from those You have called,
And they will be a witness
of, Your truth, Your pow’r and Your great love.
So
Father keep our eyes on You, all through the storms we
must go through,
Our asking why then should
not come, but only praise to You the One,
Whom we lift up regardless
of, all that You’ve planned for us, in love,
For we know through the
trials You send, You’ll protect us like, a mother hen.
Under Your wings, Whose
Almighty, we’ll always find refuge in Thee,
Therefore when times in life
are hard, we know our hearts You’ll always guard,
Though we face mountains or
face knolls, You are The Keeper of our souls,
We need not
know, nor need ask why, instead we need to just draw nigh.
“He that dwelleth in the secret
place of The Most High
shall abide under the shadow of
The Almighty.
I
will say of The Lord, He is my Refuge
and my Fortress: my God; in Him
will I trust.
Surely He shall deliver me from
the snare of the fowler,
and from the noisome
pestilence.
He shall cover thee with His
Feathers,
and under His Wings shalt thou
trust.”
